If you are nostalgic you just need something soft to tie your hear back, then you're in luck. its fast and easy to make your own fabric hair scrunchie!

A scrunchie is a fabric-covered hairband with gathered fabric on the outside and a hidden elastic inside. They are great for matching your outfit and adding a pop of color to your hair.

Best of all, because no elastic can snag or tear you hair.

They're so inexpensive that you can practically have one to match every outfit. They're the perfect fashionable gifts you can personalize them by selecting the perfect fabric for your friend or family member.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Materials
  • Fabric (I used silk )
  • Tape measure
  • Fabric scissors 
  • Pins 
  • Needle/Thread
  • Safety pin 
  • Elastic (1/4'')

STEPS TO DIY SCRUNCHIE

STEP 1

  • Using a fabric scissor, cut a 3*22-inch strip.

STEP 2
  • Fold fabric lengthwise so it's inside out pin along the center.
STEP 3
  • Sew a straight line across the edge.
  • Remove the pins once you're done.
STEP 4
  • Pull the strip right side out attach a safety pin at one end. weave the safety pin through the inside of the tube, and pull it out through the opposite end. 
STEP 5
  • Cut the elastic 9 inches, and attach the safety pin to one end.
STEP 6
  • Thread the elastic through the tube 
  • Remove the safety pin, and tie the elastic into knot.
STEP 7
  • Fold in the edges to create an even seam, and tuck one opening over the other, pin to hold the fabric in place, and sew straight across to join the two sides.
