 BALLOON DRESS

The balloon dress has a full skirt and the bottom of the skirt is gathered into a band that is narrower than the skirt. This gives the balloon effect as the fullness of the skirt balloons over the band creating a round, puffy look. it is usually above the knee. If you are sewing these types of dresses it will take a lot of fabric as it needs to be lined.


  • The pattern of this dress surface is very wide, we need to cut the fabric in cross grain.
  • I have used 2 types of Fabric one is printed cloth and the other is polyester.
  • The width of the cotton for printed cloth was 1/2 meter and the skirt width was 1&1/2 meter.
